Wall Oven Repair in Houston

A built-in wall oven is used daily, so a cold cavity or a locked door is a real disruption. We diagnose electric single and double ovens, including the larger self-cleaning models.

01What goes wrong

Common wall oven problems we fix

In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

Oven not heating or taking far too long

02

Temperature reading off from what a thermometer shows

03

Door will not unlock after a self-clean cycle

04

Display dark, flickering or showing a code

05

Bake or broil element glowing only in patches

06

Convection fan rattling, squealing or silent

Fisher & Paykel wall ovens cover single and double electric models, convection versions with a rear fan, and combination styles with a steam or microwave feature in the same cabinet. They usually offer a self-clean option, a hidden bake element, a top broil element and a glass door with several layers.

Houston kitchens put wall ovens through holiday cooking and long summers of steam from the stovetop, which can dampen controls and wear door seals. Door hinges and glass layers loosen over time, and a self-clean cycle is hard on elements and latches.

Our visit begins with the supply and display, then elements, sensor, fan, door lock and seal, followed by a temperature test with a thermometer.

05Wall Oven questions
Why won't my oven door unlock after self-clean?

The door lock stays engaged until the oven cools and the control confirms it. If it stays stuck after cooling, the latch motor or switch may need attention. Please do not force the handle.

Can you work on a double wall oven installed in a cabinet?

Yes. We pull the unit only as far as needed, protect the cabinetry and floor, and check electrical and ventilation space around the cavity before reinstalling it.

Is the oven temperature wrong, or my recipe?

Place an oven thermometer in the center and compare. If it differs by a wide margin, the sensor, control or element is suspect. We test the sensor resistance and element, then recalibrate if the unit allows.
