On current Fisher & Paykel OB24 and OB30 Series 7 and 9 built-in ovens such as the OB30SDPTX1 and OB24SDPTX1, F1 codes come from the clock board, and F1 01 is an initialization error. The clock board found no power board when it started up. The display shows the code, and the oven cannot heat because the two boards are not connected in conversation.
1. Turn the oven off at the breaker, wait one minute, and switch it back on. 2. Set the clock if prompted. 3. Try a short bake. 4. If F1 01 comes back, leave the breaker off and call us. Please do not open the oven or the control housing; the wiring between the boards carries mains-connected circuits.
The clock board is the display and control you touch. The power board switches the heating elements and fans. They must talk to each other for the oven to work.
Not necessarily. It only says the clock board found no power board at start-up. A cable, the power board or a one-time glitch could be behind it.
It is worth one try because a start-up glitch can clear. If the code appears again, the connection or a board needs inspection. Please do not repeat it many times.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
