On current Fisher & Paykel OB24 and OB30 Series 7 and 9 built-in ovens such as the OB30DDPTDX1 and OB24SDPTX1, F2 04 is a communication error reported by the power board. The clock board does not respond in time, or does not respond at all. The display shows the code, and the oven can stop heating because the two boards have lost contact.
1. Turn the oven off at the breaker for one minute and restore it. 2. Set the clock and try a short bake. 3. Note whether F2 04 appears right away or after the oven warms up. 4. If it returns, switch off the breaker and call us. Please leave the control housing closed.
Yes. F1 04 means the clock board cannot get an answer from the power board. F2 04 means the power board cannot get an answer from the clock board.
A working display only shows the clock board is alive. The reply path to the power board can still be failing, which is why the error can appear with a lit panel.
Only if it starts and runs normally after a reset. If the code appears again, it is wiser to stop using it until we have checked the link.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
