On Fisher & Paykel legacy 30-inch wall ovens such as the OS302, OD302, OS301, OD301 and the OB30DDEPX1, F2 means the oven temperature exceeded the maximum allowed during the clean cycle. On the OB24SDPX1, F2 means something different: the transistor for relay 1 is in short circuit, or the supply voltage is below 150 volts. The display shows F2. Please check which of the two applies to your oven.
1. Switch the oven off and let it cool completely. 2. Check that the door is closed properly and vents are clear. 3. Reset the oven at the breaker for a minute. 4. Do not start another clean cycle if F2 appeared during one. 5. On the OB24SDPX1, note whether lights dim elsewhere, then call us.
The legacy 30-inch ovens use F2 for over-temperature during cleaning. The OB24SDPX1, an Italian-built 24-inch oven, uses it for a relay 1 transistor short or low supply voltage.
Not until the oven is checked, especially if F2 appeared during a clean cycle. Another cycle may heat it past the limit again. Wait for us to check the sensor and relay first.
Check the rating label on the door frame or cavity edge. The model number begins OS, OD or OB, and the full number tells us which meaning applies.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
