On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers such as the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, and SmartDrive Phase 6 models like the GWL15, code 237 means the electronics picked up a continuity problem with the temperature sensor, the same as codes 10 and 40. The control cannot read water temperature reliably, so the cycle stops and the number shows.
1. Turn the washer off and unplug it for one minute. 2. Plug back in and start a short cycle. 3. Make sure the washer is in a room above freezing; cold surroundings can disturb the reading. 4. If code 237 returns, stop and book service. The sensor and wiring need meter testing.
They describe the same kind of problem: a continuity issue in the temperature sensor circuit. Codes 10 and 40 also point there.
Cold surroundings can affect the reading. Warm the room and retry; if it persists, the sensor circuit needs a test.
