On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers such as the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, and SmartDrive Phase 4 to 6 washers like the GWL15, code 60 means that on power-up the Motor Control Module checked its memory against a known reference and found differences. The owner sees 60 as soon as the washer is switched on, and the washer may refuse to run.
1. Unplug the washer for five minutes. 2. Plug in directly to a wall outlet. 3. Switch on and note whether 60 appears. 4. If it does, stop and call us.
45 is the display memory check; 60 is the motor control memory check.
A power disturbance can cause it once, so one restart is reasonable.
It will not run with the error present, so it stays off until fixed.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
