WODV3-30

Fisher & Paykel WODV3-30 Wall Oven Service

Fisher & Paykel wall oven

Most common issues on this model

  1. Control problems that affect both cavities at once
  2. Door hinge wear on the heavy Professional doors
  3. Temperature sensor drift in one cavity
  4. Door lock failing to release after self-clean

The WODV3-30 packs two Professional ovens into a 30-inch wall cabinet, each with 10 cooking functions and its own self-clean. Most are installed in a tall oven column and have been in service for years, so the door hardware and the control wiring are what tend to show their age.

The Professional doors are heavy, and the hinges carry that weight twice as often as in a single oven, because there are two doors to open. We check for hinge play and a worn seal along the door edge. When one cavity misbehaves, we run it alone against a thermometer, then check the sensor, element and lock for that cavity before looking at the shared control.

You receive a written price before work starts, and we back repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

WODV3-30WODV3-30 questions
Why did both ovens stop working at the same time?

A shared control or power supply is the likely cause when both go dead together. We check the supply to the unit first, then the control, before looking at either cavity.

Is a drooping door something I can fix myself?

Not safely. The door is heavy and the hinge springs are under tension. We replace worn hinge parts with the door supported, and we check that the door closes squarely on the gasket afterward.

Does self-clean damage the oven if I run it often?

Frequent high-heat cycles are hard on locks, sensors and the door seal. Wiping spills before they bake on and using self-clean only when needed keeps those parts working longer.
