On Fisher & Paykel WH2424 front-load washers such as the WH2424F1, WH2424P1 and WH2424P2, "no tAP" means water is not getting to the machine. The usual reasons are closed faucets, kinked or loose hose connections, blocked hose filters, a drain hose that siphons, or a low water flow rate. Owners can check these before calling. Most owners solve it with a quick check.
1. Open both faucets fully. 2. Check the fill hoses for kinks and make sure they are tight. 3. Turn the water off, remove each hose, and rinse the small filter screen. 4. Make sure the drain hose is not pushed too deep into the standpipe. 5. Restart. If "no tAP" stays, call us.
Both. Hot and cold must be open fully, because the washer fills from each and shows "no tAP" when water is not arriving. Check them again after any plumbing work.
Turn off the water, unscrew the hose from the washer, and rinse the small screen inside the connection. Refit the hose snugly. Reconnect it snugly by hand and do not over-tighten.
If the drain hose is pushed too deep or sits too low, water can run out as fast as it comes in, which looks like no water.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
