On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers like the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, code 111 mirrors code 110, but the motor bridge thermistor is detected as a short circuit instead of an open one. The motor control module therefore cannot trust its reading of motor bridge temperature. The washer halts the cycle and shows the number on the display.
1. Turn the washer off and unplug it for a full minute. 2. Plug it back in and run a short empty spin cycle. 3. Check that the area around the washer is cool and clear for airflow. 4. If code 111 returns, do not keep restarting. Leave the washer unplugged and call; the thermistor is on the motor control board.
Both concern the motor bridge thermistor. Code 110 reads an open circuit and 111 reads a short circuit, and either way temperature monitoring of the motor bridge is lost.
The code reports an electrical state of the sensor, not room heat. Good airflow around the washer is still sensible, but a shorted reading needs the board checked.
