On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers such as the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, and on SmartDrive models like the GWL11, code 39 points to the pressure tube. The probable cause is that the tube has become blocked, kinked or has fallen off completely. The pressure sensor may also be bad. The owner sees the washer misjudge its water level, stop, and show 39.
1. Unplug the washer. 2. Check that the load is not pressing on the area where the tube would run. 3. Do not open the cabinet to look at the tube. 4. Run a short cycle with little detergent. 5. If 39 comes back, stop and book service.
It runs inside the cabinet from the tub to the sensor on the control. We handle it so that nothing is pinched when the cabinet is closed.
Heavy suds or soap film can disturb the reading. Using the correct amount of high-efficiency detergent is a free first step.
If the level reading is wrong, the washer can fill incorrectly. Stop the cycle if the water rises above the normal line.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
