On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart top-load washers, code 24 tells you the dispenser must be set. The washer is waiting for the dispenser to be put in the right position before it carries on. It is a prompt rather than a breakdown, and the number remains on the display until the dispenser is set correctly.
1. Pause the washer and open the lid. 2. Look at the dispenser and make sure its drawer or insert is fully seated and the selector is in its proper position. 3. Close the lid and press start again. 4. If code 24 stays after the dispenser is clearly set, turn the washer off for a minute and retry; if it still shows, call us.
Set the dispenser. The washer wants the dispenser in position before the cycle continues, so check that it is seated and set properly.
Usually not. It is an instruction. Only if it remains after the dispenser is seated do we look at the control side.
If code 24 stays with the dispenser correctly set. We quote in writing before work and give a 30-day workmanship warranty.
