On current Fisher & Paykel OR30 and OR36 Series 7 and 9 ranges, such as the OR30SCG6X1, and pro ranges like the RDV3-304 and RIV3-486, F1 08 is an I2C communication error reported by the clock board. It cannot talk properly with the power board. The advice is to check the connection to the power board and replace the power board if needed. The display shows F1 08.
1. Switch the range off at its breaker, wait a minute, and turn it back on. 2. Set the clock and try a short bake. 3. If F1 08 does not return, carry on normally. 4. If it repeats, leave the breaker off and call us. Do not pull the range out or open any panel. On gas models, if you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside.
It is the short internal data line the boards use to exchange messages. F1 08 means the clock board's messages are not getting through to the power board cleanly.
If the connection checks out and the power board still does not respond, the board itself is the cause. We confirm before quoting a replacement.
It depends on the model and how the boards divide the work. Tell us what still functions when you call, and we will plan the visit accordingly.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
