On current Fisher & Paykel OR30 and OR36 Series 7 and 9 ranges, such as the OR30SCG6X1 and OR36SDG6X1, and pro ranges like the RDV3-486GD and RIV3-486, F1 19 is a clock board message to check the connection between the encoders and the clock. The encoders read your knob turns. The display shows F1 19, and the knobs may not respond. Replace the part if needed.
1. Switch the range off at its breaker for a minute and back on. 2. Wipe the knobs and control area with a dry cloth; do not spray cleaner into the panel. 3. Turn each knob and see whether the range responds. 4. If F1 19 returns, call us. Do not pull the knobs off or open the control. On gas models, if you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside.
It is the small part behind each knob that tells the control how far and which way you turned it. F1 19 says the clock board cannot reach it reliably.
It can, if moisture got under the knobs. Dry the area and avoid spraying cleaner there. If the code stays, an encoder or connection needs inspection.
It depends which controls respond. If knobs do nothing, the range cannot be used safely. Turn it off at the breaker and call us. Use the cooktop only if its own controls work normally.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
