On older freestanding Fisher & Paykel ranges like the OR24SDPWGX1, OR36SDBGX1 and OR48DDPWGX1, F0-00 appears when the temperature sensor measurement fails during a self-clean cycle. It can happen if the cycle was stopped and started midway. The display shows F0-00 and the cleaning cycle ends without finishing. The cleaning cycle simply ends early and the door stays locked until the oven cools, so racks and anything left inside have to wait for you. Normal baking is not always affected.
1. Turn the selector to OFF. 2. Wait at least 15 minutes with the door closed and the oven cooling. 3. Remove racks and loose crumbs, then start the self-clean once more without interrupting it. 4. If F0-00 appears again, leave the oven off and call us.
Possibly. Stopping and restarting the cycle midway can upset the temperature reading. Waiting 15 minutes and running one clean without interruption often clears it. Power dips and an interrupted cycle are the usual reasons it shows up in the first place.
Then something in the cycle path is not working, such as the door lock, a relay, the safety thermostat or the broil or bottom element. We test those one at a time.
Often yes, because the code points at the self-clean cycle. If baking also acts oddly, stop and call us for a written quote and our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
