RS3084SLK1 is a 30″ integrated column refrigerator that sits flush behind a custom panel. With its extra width, the interior gives room for wide trays and platters, and the door carries more mass than a narrow column does.
That mass is the first place we look as the cabinet ages. Hinges loosen, the gasket stops meeting the frame at the top corner, and the column warms up from the top down. We level the unit, test the hinge and then take readings at the shelves. If the airflow is weak, we clear the evaporator and test the fan and defrost parts. We finish by leveling the cabinet, re-hanging the panel and checking that the reveals match the cabinets on either side.

Warm air enters at the top corner when the gasket no longer meets the frame, and the weak airflow cannot compensate. We check the hinge and gasket before we test the fan.
Please do not scrape it, because the coil is easy to puncture. Frost means the defrost cycle is not working, and we test the heater, the sensor and the drain to find the cause.
