Fisher & Paykel ActiveSmart Refrigerator Code F34: Both water dispenser solenoid drivers failed

What F34 means

On Fisher & Paykel ActiveSmart ice and water refrigerators in the E522B series, such as the E522BRXFDU and E522BLXFDU, F34 means both water dispenser solenoid drivers, 1 and 2, have failed. The display board can no longer switch the dispenser valve solenoids that release water. You will see the code and the dispenser may give little or no water, while the cooling side of the fridge usually keeps running.

Common causes of F34

Both dispenser solenoid drivers on the display module failed
Dispenser water solenoid with the wrong resistance
Display module needing replacement if the solenoids test well

1. Press the dispenser lever and note whether any water comes out. 2. Unplug the refrigerator for five minutes, then plug it back in. 3. Check that the water supply tap is open and the supply line behind the fridge is not kinked. 4. If F34 returns, stop using the dispenser and call us. Do not open the dispenser housing.
