Fisher & Paykel IWL16 Service

The IWL16 (also written IWL16-US) is an Intuitive Eco top-loader from the Phase 7 generation, and it is no longer sold new. With no belt, pulley or gearbox, there is little to wear in the drivetrain, so our calls come from the control module, the pump and the basket seal area.
Many of these washers sit in damp spots, a basement or a garage corner, and moisture finds the control module in time. After that, the drain pump takes the strain of coins and lint. We run the diagnostic mode, which tests the pump motor and the drain pump on their own, and then examine the neck ring where fabric can catch.
The price is given in writing before work, and the repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
While the bowl is still hot, the control limits spin speed on purpose. We compare that to the cycle and test the temperature sensing, so normal logic is not mistaken for a real problem.
Wear on the neck ring or the basket seal leaves a rough edge. We inspect the rim, replace the worn ring or seal, and check the basket for dents that snag fabric.
It is the US label of the same base model, so the repair steps are the same. We confirm parts from the full number on the machine.
