What Code 12 means

On Fisher & Paykel SmartLoad and AeroSmart dryers such as the DEGX1, DGGX1, DE27CW1 and DG27CW1, Code 12 is a failure of the lid lock switching device, the part that switches the door lock on and off. The control cannot operate the lock as it should, so it stops the cycle. Owners see Code 12 and the dryer will not start or ends the cycle early.

Switching device for the lid lock has failed
