On Fisher & Paykel WH2424 front-load washers, such as the WH2424F1, WH2424P1 and WH2424P2, "out OF bAL" means the wash load is out of balance. The clothes have bunched on one side of the drum, so the washer cannot spin at speed. Redistribute the load and check that the washer is level, and it normally continues by itself. The washer resumes once the load is balanced.
