On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers such as the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, code 220 means the EEPROM model map is not programmed. The memory that tells the control which washer model it runs holds no valid map, a condition similar to code 60. Without it the control does not know how to operate the machine, and the number shows on the display.
1. Switch the washer off and unplug it for one minute. 2. Plug it back in and try starting a cycle. 3. If a control board or display was recently replaced, tell us when you call. 4. If code 220 stays, do not keep trying. The model map has to be programmed with service tools, not at the owner level.
It is information stored in the EEPROM that tells the control which washer it is running. Code 220 means that information has not been programmed.
Often because a replacement module has not been set up for the machine. Tell us if the board or display was changed recently.
We bring service tools to program the map. You get a written price before we start, and the work has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
