On Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart and EcoSmart top-load washers such as the WA37T26EW and WA42T26GW, code 110 means the motor bridge thermistor has been detected as an open circuit. With that thermistor open, the motor control module can no longer monitor the temperature of the motor bridge. This suggests the thermistor has been damaged or removed from the circuit board. The washer stops and displays the number.
1. Stop the cycle, unplug the washer, and wait one minute before plugging it back in. 2. Run a short empty spin to see whether the number returns. 3. Make sure the washer has room around it for air and is not sitting in a hot closet. 4. If code 110 repeats, stop using it and call us. The thermistor is on the control board, which is not an owner repair.
It is a temperature sensor on the motor control board that tells the module how hot the motor drive circuit is. Code 110 means it reads open, so that monitoring is lost.
They are close relatives. Code 110 is an open circuit on that thermistor; code 111 is a short circuit on the same sensor.
Sometimes, depending on the damage. We inspect it, explain the options, and quote the price in writing before any work. Repairs have a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
