On Fisher & Paykel SmartDrive top-load washers in Phase 1, code 15 reports a display module problem. The display module has read an incorrect voltage on the pump circuit, so it cannot confirm that the drain pump is being driven properly. The washer stops and shows the number. It sits alongside codes 13 and 14, which cover the pump being on or off at the wrong time.
1. Turn the washer off and unplug it for a minute. 2. Check the drain hose for kinks and confirm it is seated in the standpipe. 3. Plug in and run a short drain. 4. If code 15 repeats, leave the washer unplugged and call. The pump circuit and display module need meter testing inside the cabinet.
The display module measured an incorrect voltage on the pump circuit. It cannot be sure the pump is being driven correctly, so it stops the cycle.
Not necessarily. The pump, its wiring, or the display module's measurement could be the cause, and we test to tell which.
Usually in a single visit once we confirm the cause. We quote in writing and cover the work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
