On current Fisher & Paykel OB24 and OB30 Series 7 and 9 built-in ovens such as the OB30SDPTX1 and OB30DDPTDX1, F2 codes come from the power board, and F2 01 is an initialization error. The power board found no clock board at start-up. The display, if it lights, shows the code, and the oven cannot run a cycle without its control talking to the power board.
1. Turn the oven off at the breaker, wait a full minute, and switch it on. 2. Set the clock if prompted. 3. Try a short bake. 4. If F2 01 persists, leave the breaker off and call us. Please do not open the oven or remove the control; the boards connect through circuits that are not safe to handle.
F1 01 is the clock board saying it cannot find the power board. F2 01 is the reverse, with the power board saying it cannot find the clock board.
If the clock board is the part not starting, the display may stay dark, and the oven shows nothing. A technician can still read the situation from the power board.
It can clear a start-up glitch. If F2 01 returns, a connection or board has a real problem that needs inspection. Do not keep resetting it repeatedly.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
