On Fisher & Paykel ActiveSmart ice and water refrigerators in the E522B series, such as the E522BRXFDU and E522BLXU, a single flash of the LED on the ice-making circuit board means motor timeout. The LED sits on the board at the power module at the rear, so it can be seen only from the back of the refrigerator. The ice maker motor did not finish its movement in the expected time, and the ice maker may stop making ice. No flashes means no problem.
1. Open the freezer and check that the ice bin is seated and nothing blocks the ice maker arm. 2. Clear any ice jam you can see without tools or force. 3. Unplug the refrigerator for five minutes, plug in, and wait a day for ice. 4. If the LED still flashes once, call us; the motor and board are not owner repairs.
It is on the ice-making circuit board at the power module on the back of the refrigerator, so it is visible only from behind. Pull the unit out carefully or ask us to check.
One flash means motor timeout: the ice maker motor did not complete its movement in time. Two flashes mean something different, so count carefully.
Not always. A jam or a motor connection may be the cause. We diagnose first, give a written price, and cover repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
