Fisher & Paykel RHV3-484-L Series 11 Hybrid Range Repair

Fisher & Paykel range

Most common issues on this model

  1. Gas burner igniters failing while the induction side works
  2. Induction zones shutting down under heavy use
  3. Self-clean door lock not releasing
  4. Oven temperature drift

The RHV3-484-L is a 48-inch Series 11 hybrid range that puts four gas burners and four induction zones on the same surface, with a self-cleaning oven below. Total gas cooktop power is 58000 BTU, with the strongest burner at 19000 BTU. You will find it where a cook wants flame and induction side by side.

That mix means two sets of wear. The gas side collects grease in the ports and igniters tire. The induction side relies on cooling fans and electronics that dislike blocked airflow, and a spilled pot on the glass can confuse the controls.

When we visit we first work out which half is affected, since the two sides have separate parts. Then we test the oven lock and sensor. A smell of gas means you leave and call the gas utility from outside. You get a written price first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows.

RHV3-484-LRHV3-484-L questions
Can one half of a hybrid range fail while the other keeps working?

Yes. The gas burners and induction zones run on different parts, so you can often keep using one side while the other waits for repair. We confirm that on arrival.

Why do my induction zones stop after the gas burners have been on?

Heat from burners and the oven can push the electronics toward overheating. We check the cooling fans and airflow, and look at how long the cooktop has been run at full power.

Do I need special pans for the induction side?

Yes. Pans must be magnetic and flat. A pan that does not work on the induction zones may still work on the gas burners, so we test with a known good pan.
