Fisher & Paykel GWL03US Repair

The GWL03US is an early US SmartDrive top-loader, no longer sold new, and the ones still running stand in a basement, garage or utility closet where they have been used for many years. Direct drive means there is no belt, so when it misbehaves the cause sits in the pump, the motor control or the seals.
We start at the console. This washer keeps a record of its last problem, and reading it saves time before we open anything. Then we test the drain pump for a jam, check the rotor sensor wiring, and look under the cabinet for dampness that points to the lip seal or bearing.
Our goal is to keep an older machine working. We quote in writing first, and the repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
It recalls the last problem the machine saw, which narrows the search before we open the cabinet. We read it, confirm it with a pump test or a sensor check, and then explain what we found and what it costs.
Not always. A leak at the base can be the drain pump, a hose, or the lip seal and bearing at the basket shaft. We dry the area, run a cycle and watch where the water first appears.
If the basket and cabinet are sound, a pump, sensor or lid lock repair is far cheaper than a new washer. We tell you what is worn before you decide, with the price in writing.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
