Older freestanding Fisher & Paykel OR24, OR36 and OR48 ranges, for example the OR24SDMBGX1 and OR48DDPWGX1, show 30 F0 when temperature probe ST1 reads as a short circuit or its cable is damaged. The control no longer trusts the oven temperature, so it stops heating. You see 30 F0 on the display and the oven stays cold or shuts off. Cooktop burners are usually unaffected while this shows.
1. Switch the oven off with the selector and let it cool. 2. Look inside for anything touching the probe at the back wall, but do not bend or pull it. 3. Switch the range off at the breaker for a minute, then restore power. 4. If 30 F0 remains, leave the oven unused and call us.
ST1 is the temperature probe that tells the control how hot the oven cavity is. A short on that probe or its cable makes the readings unusable, so the oven will not heat.
No. Without a valid temperature reading the control will not run the oven, and working around it is unsafe. Cooktop burners are separate and normally keep working.
30 F0 is a short circuit on the probe or cable. 30 F1 is an open circuit or a poorly fitted connector. We test each differently to find the break or short.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
