What F1 02 means

On current Fisher & Paykel OB24 and OB30 Series 7 and 9 built-in ovens such as the OB30DDPTDX1 and OB24SDPTX1, F1 02 is a clock board report of an unknown model ID. The clock board does not support the model ID set on the power board. The two boards do not match, so the oven cannot start properly, and the display shows the code.

Common causes of F1 02

  • A clock board and power board that do not belong together
  • A recently replaced board with the wrong setup
  • A power board holding a corrupted model setting
  • A clock board that cannot read the model setting
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Switch the oven off at the breaker for a minute, then turn it back on. 2. If you recently had a board replaced, tell the person who did the work about the code. 3. Do not try to change settings or open the control. 4. If F1 02 stays, call us with the full model number from the oven's rating label.

! Why to stop there
  • A mismatch like this is typically solved by the right board or the right setup, not by cleaning or resetting.
  • We check the model number against the installed boards.
  • Wrong parts cost money, so we verify first and quote in writing.
  • Repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

F1 02F1 02 questions
What is a model ID?

It is a stored setting that tells the electronics which oven they are part of. If the clock board does not recognize the ID on the power board, F1 02 appears.

Can this happen on an oven that worked fine yesterday?

It is more common after a board replacement, where the new and old boards differ. An older oven can show it if the stored ID gets corrupted.

Is it a hazard?

The oven simply will not start properly. It is not dangerous to leave idle, but we advise keeping it switched off until the boards are matched.
