On Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer DD605 series dishwashers, F7 means the controller detected no current at all going to the lid motors. An actuator may be unplugged, connectors on the PCB mains filter or controller may be loose, or the filter or controller may have failed. Owners see F7 and a lid that does not move when the drawer is used.
1. Switch the unit off at its breaker for one minute. 2. Restore power and try opening and closing the drawer once. 3. Check that the house breaker has not tripped. 4. If F7 stays, leave the power off and call us.
The controller sent a command to move the lid, but no electricity flowed to the motors. Something between the controller and the actuators is open or disconnected.
A reset can clear a confused controller. If F7 returns right away, the open connection or failed part is real and needs testing by a technician.
The PCB mains filter conditions power before it reaches the controller and motors. If it has failed, current may never reach the lid motors, so we test it before replacing anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
