On Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer DD603 and DD605 series dishwashers, F9 is a power supply or controller error, described on some units as an electronics failure with an EEPROM access problem. It may follow an earlier F3, F8 or F9, and power must be disconnected and reconnected to reset it. Owners see F9 and the drawer stops; the other drawer is also stopped.
1. Switch the unit off at its breaker and leave it off for a full minute. 2. Restore power and check whether F9 clears. 3. Think back: did F3 or F8 show earlier? Tell us when you call. 4. If F9 returns, switch off and call us.
It is described as a power supply or controller error. Sometimes it is a consequence of an earlier F3, F8 or F9, so we look at what happened before the controller is replaced.
The unit holds F9 until it loses power. Disconnecting and reconnecting lets the electronics start over, and only then can we see whether the error comes back.
F9 stops the whole unit, so neither works until it is cleared. We test the controller and power supply and give a written price. The repair carries our 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
