Fisher & Paykel DG7027P2 Steam Gas Dryer Service

The DG7027P2 adds steam to the 27-inch AeroCare gas dryer. It has 12 dry cycles, four temperatures, a drying rack and a SmartTouch dial. Combining a gas burner with a water-fed steam feature means two systems to keep an eye on, and we take them one at a time. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside.
For the drying side we start at the duct, then the igniter, flame sensor and valve coil. For steam we trace the water supply and check that nothing leaks into the cabinet. The dial and control are tested last, since most calls end earlier in that list. A price in writing comes before any work, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
We follow the water from the supply connection to the drum, looking for a blocked passage or a loose fitting, then test the control signal that calls for steam.
The steam function needs a water supply, so we inspect the connection and hose. A kinked or clogged hose is a common reason steam stops, and it is simple to put right.
The SmartTouch dial selects the cycle and sends signals to the control. If the dial feels loose or skips, the dryer can pick the wrong program. We test it after the airflow and burner checks.
