Fisher & Paykel CI152DTTB1 15-inch Two-zone Induction Service

Fisher & Paykel cooktop

Most common issues on this model

  1. Zones refusing to merge under SmartZone
  2. Touch panel acting up
  3. Pan detection missing with the wrong cookware
  4. Heat protection shutting the unit off when vents are blocked

With two zones in 15 inches, the CI152DTTB1 is built to be combined with other modular units, so you see it set in a counter run next to a wider cooktop or a teppanyaki surface. Each unit has its own electronics, so a problem on one leaves its neighbor running normally.

The SmartZone setting turns both zones into a single long area for a griddle or fish pan. When the bridge fails, we start with the cookware, because a pan that is short of the zone edges or has a rounded base will not register, and then test the control and the linking board.

Our fixed written price comes before the work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows it. Please keep the pan you used when the problem showed up, because the cookware itself tells us a lot about the cause.

CI152DTTB1CI152DTTB1 questions
The SmartZone setting will not hold when I place a long pan. Why?

The pan has to cover both zones with a flat magnetic base. If the cookware is right, we test the link between zones and the control board and quote any part before we order it.

Do I need to remove the neighboring cooktop to repair this one?

Each modular unit is separate, but access from below sometimes requires clearing the cabinet. We check the install on arrival and tell you what needs to be moved.

Which pots confuse induction pan detection?

Aluminum, glass and copper bases without a magnetic layer will not register, and pans that are too small fail to detect. A magnet test on the base settles it.
