Fisher & Paykel DD603 Double DishDrawer Maintenance and Repair

The DD603 is a long-discontinued double drawer, also sold as finish variants such as DD603I and DD603W. Many are still in the original cabinets, and the aim is to keep a sturdy machine going rather than to treat it as current.
Time takes its toll in predictable ways. Filters and spray arm holes clog, drain hoses kink or fill with residue, inlet and drain connections start to weep, and the seal and latch wear. The control panel is mechanical or early electronic, so it is simpler than newer ones, but its parts are older too.
We test each drawer separately, starting with the filter, spray arm and drain hose, and then check connections, seal and latch for leaks. You get a written price before work starts, and a 30-day workmanship warranty.
They are finish variants of the same model. The wash system and checks are the same, so we note the finish and proceed in the usual order.
At the inlet and drain connections first, then the seal. Connections loosen and age after many years. We tighten or replace what is leaking.
If the cabinet is sound and the repair is a filter, hose, seal or latch, yes. We quote in writing so you can compare it with replacement cost.
