Fisher & Paykel DW24U and DW60 built-in dishwashers, including the DW24U6I1 and DW24U2I1, display A60 for a water temperature error. The dishwasher has measured a temperature it cannot accept during the cycle and stops to protect itself. The guidance for owners is to switch the machine off and on again, and to seek service if the code remains. It appears on the display while the machine waits for you to act.
1. Press the power key to switch the dishwasher off, wait a minute, then switch it on. 2. Make sure the door latches fully. 3. Close the door fully and start a short cycle and watch whether A60 returns. 4. If it appears again, stop using the dishwasher and call us. Do not open the lower panel.
It is a water temperature error. The dishwasher read a temperature that did not fit what it expected, so it halted the cycle and showed A60 on the display.
That is the recommended first step, and it clears the code when the cause was temporary. If A60 returns on the next cycle, the temperature problem is real and needs a technician.
We suggest waiting. The code exists because the temperature is outside what the machine expects. A technician can test the sensing and heating, and you get a written price first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
