On Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer Series 9 models such as the DD24DI9 and DD24DCTX9, and on 2026 built-in DW24U models such as the DW24UDT2X4, A1 is a water supply error. The instruction is to make sure the water supply is turned on. Integrated DishDrawer models show it as an indicator pattern, Rinse plus all the modifier lights, instead of letters.
1. Open the valve under the sink all the way. 2. Run the kitchen tap to confirm water pressure. 3. Check that the inlet hose is not kinked. 4. Close the drawer or door and restart. If A1 returns, call us.
On integrated Series 9 DishDrawers, the lights show A1 instead of letters. Rinse lit together with every modifier means the drawer is asking you to turn on its water supply.
On the 2026 DW24U built-ins, A1 carries the same water supply instruction. Check the valve first. If your display shows A2, that is a related water supply message on the built-ins.
The problem may be in the inlet valve or flow sensing. We test the supply, hoses and parts, then give a written price before work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
