On Fisher & Paykel DW24U6I1 built-in dishwashers from the DW24U and DW60 platform, F40 reports a water flow error. The dishwasher is not seeing the flow of water it expects while filling or circulating, so it stops the cycle and displays F40. Owners notice the machine halting early, with the tub holding too little or no water. The code appears with a halted cycle.
1. Check that the supply valve under the sink is fully open. 2. Make sure the inlet hose is not kinked behind the dishwasher. 3. Switch the dishwasher off and on, and restart a short cycle. 4. If F40 comes back, leave it off and call us. Do not pull on the hoses.
They are related but not identical. A10 reports no water entering, with its listed causes being the tap, supply pressure and hoses. F40 reports a water flow error, so it is shown when the flow itself is wrong.
A weak supply can leave too little flow, so check that the valve is open and the kitchen tap runs strongly. If supply is normal, the flow parts inside the dishwasher need a technician.
We check the supply, hoses and the flow path, find what is limiting it and quote a written price before work starts. Repairs come with our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
