On Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer DD605 series dishwashers, F6 means the lid motors ran but never reached the stall current that tells the controller the lid has finished moving. That points to an actuator that has come off its yoke or slide, a yoke that has come off the lid, or an actuator that has failed. Owners see F6 and a lid that moves loosely or not fully.
1. Switch the unit off and on at its breaker. 2. Open the drawer and watch whether the lid moves evenly. 3. Remove anything caught near the lid. 4. Try one more cycle. If F6 repeats, leave it and call us.
F5 reports lid motor current that is too high, a sign of jamming. F6 reports the opposite pattern, motors running without ever meeting the resistance expected at the end of travel.
It often moves, but not the way the controller expects. A loose actuator or yoke lets it run freely. If you see the lid sagging or tilted, mention it when you call.
We inspect the actuators and yokes first, then give a written price for the repair. Parts and labor are covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
