Fisher & Paykel CPV2-486GDL N Six-burner Griddle Rangetop Service

Six burners and a griddle share the 48-inch Series 9 top of the CPV2-486GDL N, which runs on propane. A natural gas version is sold as CPV2-486GDN N. This size usually goes into a wide countertop opening, often a kitchen island, where the ventilation hood is sized to match.
The more burners sit side by side, the more the middle ones depend on clean ports. We often find the two burners nearest the griddle clogged first, because splatter lands there. After years of use, caps that looked perfectly seated can wear against the burner base.
At the visit, we light each burner in order, then the griddle, and check how quickly each catches. If there is any gas smell, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. A written price comes before we begin, and repairs carry our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Rarely. One burner is almost always an igniter, a port or a cap problem. We repair that burner and test the others, and we explain it plainly if anything else is worn.
The griddle shares the rangetop's gas supply but has its own burner and valve. We test the burner and valve separately so we can tell you which part is responsible.
Constant clicking suggests moisture or a stuck switch. It is annoying but we treat it seriously: we find the cause, clean or replace the part, and confirm the clicking stops before we leave.
