On Fisher & Paykel OS24 and OS30 steam and combi-steam ovens, code A1 means the oven has overheated. The control has detected a temperature above what it allows and stops heating to protect the oven. Allow the oven to cool; once it has cooled and the door is unlocked, the code disappears. Until then the display shows A1 and cooking is not available.
1. Switch the oven off and leave the door closed until it unlocks on its own. 2. Wait for the oven to cool fully before touching the interior. 3. Remove anything stored in or on the oven that blocks the vents. 4. Turn the oven back on and run a short steam setting. 5. If A1 returns, stop and call us.
Turn the oven off and let it cool. Once it has cooled and the door unlocks, the code clears by itself.
Wait until the door unlocks. It stays locked while the oven is hot, which protects you from steam and heat.
