On Fisher & Paykel OM24 and OM30 combination microwave speed ovens, such as the OM24NDTDX1 and OM30NDTDX1, A1 tells you the oven has overheated. The display shows A1 and the oven stops. Allow it to cool, then power it down and back on. The same wording appears on other Fisher & Paykel ovens, but this page covers the speed oven.
1. Turn the speed oven off and keep the door closed while it cools for an hour. 2. Make sure its vents and the cabinet around it are clear of boxes or trays. 3. Power the oven down at the breaker for a minute and back on. 4. Try a short convection or microwave run. 5. If A1 comes back quickly, call us.
A1 says the oven overall has overheated. A5 says the microwave system itself overheated. Both ask you to let the oven cool, but they point to different parts.
Leave it for at least an hour with the door closed. After that, power it down and up. If A1 vanishes, the oven was just reacting to heat.
Then something is not cooling the oven properly, such as airflow or a fan. That is the point to call us rather than keep trying.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
